Very Cynical Thought

I have met so many people abused/disgruntled/disenchanted with the church as an organization lately that it has led me to one thought. Many church leaders tout numbers now. How many are baptized, how many are saved, how many are in small groups, etc. I wonder if the number of people that are spiritually wounded or destroyed by the church far outweighs the number of people it brings to Christ.

Very cynical thought I know, but I think it is a question that needs to be asked. I always heard that saying of the church is the only organization that shoots its wounded. Unfortunately, it is not just a saying as I have witnessed this first hand on too many occassions.
